Scrapbook: The going rate for whale

Some pics my brother sent from Japan.

Shibuya. Can't believe my eyes - a clear space in Tokyo? What's everyone looking at?

Gyokusenen, Kanazawa. Created by Wakita Naokata, the Korean war baby of 1592 and later chamberlain of the Kaga lords. Who says foreigners can't make it in Japan...

Sorry to delete your comment Jim, I had to repost to clear up the formatting

Oh well, on closer inspection, it looks like fish soup anyway.

looks to me like it's just a fish (click for larger image)

Yeah, and that actually puts a totally different spun on it. It implies that whale and fish are similarly priced (which is surprising).

There's typo above, I meant to say "spin".

You can delete comments and repost them. I try to save myself the embarrassment by previewing before I post...

Deleting leaves a suspicious footprint, "post removed by author".

Or is it only the author who can see that?

No, everyone can. That's what I meant by 'saving embarrassment'.

Only the moderator can completely remove a deleted comment. But I'm not so evil as to give myself that privilege while everyone else who makes a mistake has to look like a chump.

Anyway if I did, noone would know...
